New York Winter Cityscape Series
“There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing choices and bad attitudes” – Gil Hallows
According to research Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) affects 4.7 percent of the population in New York City with higher rates of individuals experiencing the lesser form termed Winter Blues. Sunlight, exercise, mindfulness practices, and connecting with others through enjoyable experiences has been shown to mitigate the symptoms of this phenomena. As such, Legacy will be hosting a 4-month Winter Cityscape series that will take place during those chilly winter months in New York.
Join Daniel Rogers for a 2-hour walk through Central Park where participants will engage with nature, connect with one another, share laughs, and learn specific breathing techniques as well as how to make a fire using a bow drill. Hot chocolate will be served at the end of the day.
There is no limit to the amount of time you attend. This event is open to families, alumni, professionals and pets! Please RSVP to attend.
