Positions are available for Clinical Therapists at an RTC/OBH program in Loa, Utah. These are young adult treatment programs that combine residential treatment with outdoor experiences for healing. Clinical sessions take place at the residential program site a few miles outside Loa, Utah and Clinicians do individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and case management, as well as equine therapy.
Qualifications needed:
- Degree – Minimum of a Master’s Degree required, or Doctoral Degree is also acceptable
- Degree Field – Licensable Degree in Mental Health
- Licensure Required – LCSW, MFT, CMHC, SUDC, Licensed Psychologist, or an Associate License in these areas.
- Certification in specific modalities is welcomed: IFS, EMDR, ART, EFT, Somatic Experiencing, Equine Therapy, etc.
- Experience – Experience working in substance abuse and/or dual diagnosis treatment settings, particularly with trauma, attachment, and family therapy
- Ability and mindset to work well with and contribute to a team of highly engaged and supportive professionals.
Job Description:
The clinical therapist will assess and treat mental health issues, including emotional and social disorders as well as substance use disorder.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide individual and group counseling in a residential or outdoor setting.
- Treat trauma and help staff work with clients using trauma informed care.
- Be aware and support diversity and individual needs.
- Support a strength-based, invitational therapeutic approach.
- Communicate with and support client families.
- Work with treatment team to develop and implement individual treatment plans and facilitate continuing care planning collaboratively with individual clients.
- Guide clients in developing a comprehensive relapse prevention plan.
- Guide clients toward recovery as a way of being.
- Serve as a role model for honorable adulthood as a way of being.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation.
- Support maintenance of a healthy therapeutic milieu and positive peer culture.
