Alcohol Rehab in Utah: Our Program Overview
Our commitment to your care includes:
- 90-Day Primary Treatment Program Overview: During your 90-day program, you will go through different stages. The first is joining others at “Base.” This is what we call our cabins and lodges. You will spend a few days each week here, and the rest will be in nature. Once you have completed your first steps to treatment, you will meet with your therapist to create a treatment plan. While at Base, you will participate in individual and group therapy. And you will learn life skills like showering and doing laundry. After you complete your time at Base, you will move to onto the Summit trip. Here you will become more independent.
- Gender-Specific Programs: Gender-specific programs foster a sense of security when sharing experiences. Our gender-based adventure therapy treatment facilities provide the safety and comfort needed.
- Adventure and Experiential Therapies – These therapies help build self-confidence and self-efficacy and give a sense of control over your present-day life. They’re evidence-based therapies that promote long-term recovery.
- Support and Education for Families – A healthy family relationship is vital to recovery. During your treatment, you have the chance to engage in family therapy. You will work with your family or loved one to understand how your behavior affected them. They will also learn more about your addiction.
- Collaboration with Our Medical Director: If you have any medical needs, your therapist will collaborate with the doctor to ensure you receive the necessary care.
- Medication Management: If you take medication when you join us, we will ensure you continue. We will also prescribe medication if needed. Throughout your time, our doctor will monitor your medication.

Moving Forward with Legacy Outdoor Adventures: Alcohol Rehab in Utah
Once you have decided to start your recovery journey, you can contact our experienced and welcoming admissions team. Once you are admitted, you will complete an assessment that determines your care level. This level of care determines whether you need day treatment, outpatient services, or residential treatment.
During your assessment, your therapist may need to refer you to our medical doctor if you need alcohol detoxification. Alcohol detox must be monitored carefully by trained medical staff. Once you transition from an alcohol detox treatment program to one of our treatment programs, you will meet with your therapist.
Your therapist will work with you to create a graduation and treatment plan. We develop a graduation plan in the beginning so you can learn the skills and put in place the resources you need to transition from treatment to your life. Since you help create your treatment plan, you have a chance to exert control over your present situation. This sense of control can help build self-efficacy and confidence.
FAQ
The rehab cost in Utah depends on what type of care you are receiving. Of the 50 states, Utah ranks as the 29th, from reasonably priced to most expensive, for inpatient (non-hospital-based) substance use disorder treatment.
The average cost of treatment for the levels of treatment is
- On average, a patient receiving outpatient care can expect to pay $1,708 for 30 days without insurance.
- A person participating in a 30-day residential rehab can expect to pay approximately $56,782, with luxury residential treatment ranging from $58,000 and above. Luxury residential rehabs cost more because they offer upscale services and amenities. For example, at Legacy, our hybrid residential and adventure therapy program allows for greater opportunities to learn how to replace adverse behavior with healthy behavior by combining holistic, outdoor therapies with the comfort of our residential rehab treatment program.
- A 60-90 day residential program can cost over $58,000.
- Dual diagnosis programs targeting co-occurring disorders can, on average, cost $7,000-$30,000.
Getting ready to enter a substance use disorder treatment program can be overwhelming. You don’t know what you can bring to or wear at an addiction treatment center. We recommend you bring comfortable and appropriate clothing for outdoor adventures like hiking or equine therapy. You may also want to consider which season you will join us in. This can determine the outdoor activities you will participate in. Our admissions counselors are available if you need help or have questions.
Legacy’s Comprehensive Diagnostic and BioPsychosocial Interview will determine your diagnosis, unique needs, and the level of care you need to succeed in your recovery process.
