Graduation

At Legacy Treatment Center, we offer an intermediate level of care called Summit House Transitions, which is designed to help our clients make a successful transition from primary treatment to aftercare placement. Our experienced and compassionate team of professionals works closely with our clients to help them take ownership and responsibility for their wellness and recovery.

Our program focuses on providing clients with practical skills and tools that they can put into action to achieve their goals. Our curriculum is centered around creating a detailed relapse prevention plan, identifying warning signs of relapse, and mapping out high-risk situations. Clients learn strategies to navigate these situations and become empowered to take ownership of their aftercare plan, including researching and contacting extended care or sober living programs and finalizing their personal Life Success Plan.

The daily schedule at Summit House is designed to help clients develop a vision for what their life looks like after treatment. Clients engage in activities that help them accomplish their goals, take care of responsibilities, and live each day with a sense of purpose. They live in an apartment-style setting with 24-hour staffing, where they learn and practice life skills, develop a workout routine at a local gym, attend daily groups, and continue to meet with their licensed therapist weekly.

Weekend adventures are the highlight of the week at Summit House. Clients plan and execute weekend adventure trips that emphasize having fun in recovery and developing and utilizing a support community.

The trips include:

  • Rock climbing
  • Mountain biking
  • Canyoneering
  • Skiing
  • Kayaking
  • White water rafting
  • Social events for young people in recovery
